Het archief van grafisch ontwerper Gerd Arntz (1900-1988) in het Gemeentemuseum Den Haag bestaat onder andere uit 4000 inspirerende en nauwgezet met de hand vormgegeven pictogrammen, Isotypes genaamd. Dit archief is op initiatief van Ontwerpwerk het afgelopen jaar voor een groot deel gedigitaliseerd door Het Geheugen van Nederland. Arntz' werk is vanaf 23 april 2008 internationaal toegankelijk via het educatieve webarchief www.gerdarntz.org.

Het Gerd Arntz webarchief toont niet het complete oeuvre van Gerd Arntz. De intentie is om deze in samenwerking met het Gemeentemuseum Den Haag de komende jaren verder te ontwikkelen.

The Gerd Arntz archive at the Municipal Museum The Hague contains more than 4000 pictograms and small illustrations designed by Gerd Arntz for Isotype, the pioneering method of visual statistics developed by Otto Neurath in the 1920s and '30s. This archive has now been completely digitized by the Memory of the Netherlands Foundation.
A comprehensive and inspiring selection of Arntz' 'signatures' is now internationally accessible on the Gerd Arntz web archive www.gerdarntz.org.
